Well, now you have to switch into the multitrack session and start mixing your voice and editing, use some songs on the background so you could have ambience, you can also download some sound effects on the internet, anything you want, that has to do more with your creativity go on and play a little bit with it. Once that you had recorded your voice save it as a sound file in a folder in which you are going to save all of the files that you are going to use on your PODCAST.
I added two songs, one at the end (Whispers in the dark by Skillet) and the other (Cassie by flyleaf) at the very end.
Go on and write a script of your pod cast, this will help you to know what you want to do with your program how it is going to be structured, what you are going to say and which files do you want to have on your background and if you are going to add some music to your program. Now go and get the subject that you want to talk about, I decided to talk about the hurricanes in Hawaii. Press OK and then you will start recording, now you will be able to record your voice. Once that you know that is selected and plugged into the mic input lets run the program it is going to be initialized on multitrack mode you have to change it into the edit view now press record and a box will appear asking you for the resolution of the file. I’m going to choose a cheap regular microphone to record the Pod cast that I will use an example to keep on explaining the recording Process. I would recommend you a standard SHURE RS25, is not too expensive but if you lack of money anything that could record your voice will work out. The second most important thing that you’ll need to you’re your PODCAST is a microphone, you can’t do it without it. The most important thing that we need to start the recording is an audio card in our computer, please check on the back of your computer (sometimes is also on the front) you will find three little inputs (holes) the most of the times one is blue, the other is green and the third is a pink one, the pink one is the microphone input, the plug of our microphone goes there. Now we are getting closer into our final aim that is to record the Pod cast.
